Getting traction on a new social media platform is hard. Observation: people adopt a new tool when it helps them in the pursuit of one of their existing strongly held goals, like earning income, supporting a cause, etc. Can anyone think of a user segment that would benefit greatly from joinable.us?

It's been a good week at Joinable!

By far the biggest challenge in this "rebuilding" process is to overcome network effects. When you're big, network effects are a great advantage, but when you're building something new (and better!) they are a huge barrier. How to get people to try Joinable when their friends aren't on it yet???
