I've been telling folks that the Ascensions in this set are incredibly strong, especially Waterbender Ascension. Half the cost of a normal Coastal Piracy effect that also gives you a way to get evasion and push through an attacker is fantastic and it gets counters as fast as Beastmaster Ascension.

Hate ages a MFer. Sadly, they also seem to somehow live for-fucking-ever. Life is strange like that, I suppose.

I really like that they all destroy food tokens 😂

Really well done cosplay. Makes me wish we were getting Korra in the ATLA set 😢oh, and that Katara is super fun! I have a very casual Ally kindred deck thrown together and it's always fun seeing the looks on people's faces when I beat them down with bargain bin creatures lol

The Pentagon already has a plan for a reaction force. How the 12th and 22nd amendment interact has been debated among constitutional scholars and has never actually been challenged. If the last 9 months haven't shown you they will absolutely test that, then you haven't been paying attention.

4. They cheat to win in 2028.
5. Vance steps down day 1.
6. Trump becomes president by right of succession.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 in perpetuity.

The only way around this is by turning out in absurd numbers and fighting back against all of the dirty tricks the GOP is gonna pull in 2026.

The plan goes like this:
1. Set up a national guard task force in all 50 states designed to put down civil unrest.
2. Nominate Vance for president and Trump as VP, challenging the interaction between the 12th and 22nd amendments.
3. Take the battle to SCOTUS, who will rule in their favor.

Same here. I have decks that are bracket 2 that I will not play against precons because it would be unfair to them.

Yeah, GW's been fighting against 3D printing and "Chinacast" models for years and the folks selling that stuff have only gotten more bold and sophisticated in their proxies. Nowadays it's next to impossible to distinguish a real GW mini from a high-quality fake and that's a huge problem for them.

Didn't they also shoot him in the head with pepper balls THE VERY NEXT DAY? Or was that a different priest ICE decided to shoot, once again, in the goddamn face?
October 10, 2025 at 2:50 PM
Ignore him. He's yet another white leftist bitching about Gaza when he's clearly done fuck all to actually help them. People like him would rather allow perfect to be the enemy of good and yell at other people on the left to read shit like Marx rather than engage in fucking praxis.

It's a great ride, just skip The Great Divide.

Good. Then maybe I wouldn't see every goddamn job listing asking for AI despite none of the c-suite assholes demanding it be included in them even understanding what the fuck they're even asking for.

One of these days you should do a comic where the Browns hydra absorbs the next QB 😂

Time marches ever forward and with time comes change. Nothing is like how it was when you were a kid because it can't be. Even if it was physically the same, you aren't the same person, fundamentally.

Fandoms grow. Hobbies change. You have to choose whether you grow and change with them.

You've become those old dudes, farting around in a garage, drinking beers and complaining, reminiscing about a time when you were a kid and didn't have the responsibilities you have now. So, these memories have a degree of happiness to them because you could just enjoy your fandom.

They seemingly got to get in on something and enjoy the fun part of it without having to go through the abuse some of us did.

Worse yet is the idea that these people joining the fandom are causing it to change for the worse when, in reality?

You just don't like change.

And now, as we get older and as gen z become adults themselves, we have a ton of people across 3 whole generations that grew up with these nerdy hobbies.

Only now there seems to be this perception that, since so many people are enjoying these hobbies, their fandom wasn't "earned".

Nerds around my generation (millennial/gen x) remember when being a nerd would make you a social outcast. We remember the abuse at the hands of bullies just for liking something. But I think a lot of us took that and became bitter, resentful of the "popular" people and then never grew out of it.

This has been a common phenomenon that I first saw when my dad and his buddies complained about rules changes in baseball. They'd wax nostalgic about a time when their favorite players were playing, claiming that was "real baseball".

Nerd fandoms are no different. In some ways, they're worse.

Make no mistake, things haven't gotten worse because they've become more "mainstream"; you're just succumbing to the toxic nostalgia that exists in every fandom. Sports, TV, comics, etc.

It's this idea that the time during your formative years was when whatever your fandom is was at it's best.
