Same vibe, honestly:

It was erroneously thought that these areas needed extra armor, since they were hit so many times – but the reality was that these were the areas that were hit without causing the plane to be destroyed. It is frequently cited as an example of "survivorship bias," where the data looked at and resulting policy only takes into account non-catastrophic outcomes, ignoring the larger problem at hand.

Y'ALL. I had switched my main web search engine to DuckDuckGo a while back, but had no idea that you can take a not-insubstantial bite out of LLM/genAI slop in your search results with the settings. Behold!

Trans and non-binary people can now at least momentarily update the gender marker on their US passports. But, of course, you have to fill out paperwork that may be used by state/federal government to harm you later. So... yay?

Advantages of puppets:
1) Foam is a great insulator for drowning out existential agony
2) You can take a little breakie, and let the puppet speak/breathe/speak for you for a bit
3) Costs about the same as one therapy appointment
4) Keeps your hands warm in Winter
5) Heals your inner child by osmosis

The Monster at the End of Maple Street! What a classic.
