i remember I hit a Drop Target at the end of Hot Shelter once, bounced off the wall behind the finish line, and got launched all the way over the first section of the next lap thanks to the giant gear the lap starts with

i remember hitting a Drop Target with 2 boosts stacked at the end of Hot Shelter, getting launched backwards, bouncing off the wall at the back, then hitting the giant gear at terminal velocity and getting launched over the entire first section.
