Hackworth's leaving does add another layer of absurdity to the fact that he was calling the shots on the end of season roster moves as the club was starting to negotiate with Wray.

City has a multi-year issue of accumulating injuries at the start of the season - resulting in coaches being fired. The last teams fielded by Carnell and Olaf for City were not optimal. Do you know if the team feels like they have identified what the cause has been and what will change next year?

Really well done, thank you.

I appreciate the work put into the podcast. I don't understand the Critchley narrative.

Critchley's end of season form is based on winning back to back against 2 of the worst teams in the league. Middling success with a schedule heavy with poorly finishing teams. I am really struggling to understand why this is seen as a return to form.

It seems less a tale of 2 coaches and more a tale of 2 schedules. 9 of Olafs 17 games were against top 10 finishing teams, Critchley only had to play 4. Olaf got points 4 times against top 10 finishing teams, Critchley never did. Critchley only got results against the top half of the league twice.

There seems to be some heavy lifting to frame Critchley's tenure as a return to form i.e. in the Critchley pulling it together summary you highlight that a recent loss is against one of the best teams in the league and don't call out that the wins are against some of the worst teams in the league.
