Your choice to include banking/cc information in your post heavily implies that it was at risk if there was a data breach which is just wrong here.

Well there is a big difference here though.
A breach of data like emails, IDs passwords isn't good but when financial information is involved it's a whole other legal animal, including massive penalties and fines and potential lawsuits and shouldn't be making accusations without due research.

Correct but that's not how the patreon API works. All it likely reported to gulpr was email, membership, profile info. There could be other issues that got leaked/vulnerable but jumping to cc/bank info is a large leap that is not possible unless there was a breach at patreon itself.
