Perfect recap. No notes.
My 2 biggest laughs tonight:

(Someone to Marian): "Church will see you home" and Marian, hot off chest compressing Hot Beard's wound, is like I think I can walk across the street.

I snorted a Dorito out my nose with Bertha's "can I buy you a new dress?"

Carrie Coon!!!

Oh I need Tom and Lorenzo's thoughts on Marian's RED dress for next week's ball! (Preview/next week clip)

It would seem likely, right?, because that seemed like a lot of screentime. But there's so much else to cover in the finale...

Jeez Hot Beard and Larry, lighten up on Bertha already.

What was the point of Mrs. Foster? No payoff there.

Louise J has definitely improved, though she's still a contemporary actress who has no idea how to move in the costumes.

HBO really needs to bump up to 10 or more episodes a season.

Pumpkin, in Ada's lap, was so staunchly left profile and not moving that at first I thought it was a Pumpkin plush stand-in.

Really liked Oscar's big scene - appreciated that they allotted more time here rather than the usual two minutes. Plus shrewd fluttery Ada & Marian: "okay up to bed...shush"

I too (Oscar and John) saw that camera follow John to the street, and thought "oh here it comes" and boom!
July 28, 2025 at 9:33 AM
Was it just me or did the cinematographer finally turn some lights on so we could actually see the actors' faces?

I love than John is designing the KitchenAid stand mixer.

No one cares about George's stock deals. Morgan Spector is there to deliver sex. Do better.

Marian 🙄

I gasped a bit when Mr. Delancey sat down on Bertha’s sofa still wearing his topcoat. Was there a bit of a vibe between him and Bertha?

Peggy still has nothing to do except beguile.

The clock scene with the investors just fizzled out, needed a bigger button to it.

Hoping for bigger drama next wk

This episode was underwhelming. I find myself getting anxious "oh here comes the 90 seconds of screentime for this plot line"

A vast amount of accent/dialect work happening, a lot of it questionable.

Hard agree on Ada.

I continue to beg the DP/gaffer to throw more light on the actor's faces

In Danny Peary's ALTERNATE OSCARS, Lesley Ann was very much in the running

Lesley Ann Warren is just phenomenal. CHOOSE ME is my go-to for any "little seen movies that I simply must see" prompt

So sad that it's not part of the June Channel's Rudolph collection!

Things have really perked up here!

Respectfully, there's a lot going on in that lower right hand corner.

I zoomed in for Holleran, and, yes, there it is.

(PS: I'm paying close attention to the shifting Dreyer tag name adjustments.)
