Happy birthday to Margaret Geller!

In my opinion, contributions that Geller and collaborators made to our understanding of the large-scale, 3D structure of the Universe are comparable in importance to Hubble expansion and cosmic acceleration. (11/11)

This one is a design for an axion dark matter detection experiment. Notably, this is focused on the scenario where axions were produced *after* inflation, meaning that the misalignment angle may vary and there could be topological defects. #cosmology

Toward a practical haloscope for the post-inflation axion incorporating a photonic band gap structure
Current and future searches for dark matter axions, based on their resonant conversion to photons in a magnetic field, span many orders of magnitude, from the very low mass GUT-scale axion to the very...

This one probes the extent to which the halo mass function is universal and robust across variation of several cosmological parameters. They find close consistency which I think is a problem for using HMF for distinguishing between cosmological models! #cosmology arxiv.org/abs/2411.18722
On the universality of the halo mass function beyond $Λ$CDM cosmology
The abundance of dark matter haloes as a function of halo mass is a key diagnostic for constraining the cosmological model. The theoretical framework based on excursion set arguments, when applied to ...

Last but not least, we improve by 15% the upper bound on the sum of the neutrino masses (within ΛCDM) setting the upper bound to be 0.071 eV at 95% c.l.
