Hard to believe, but 15 years have passed since I moved to B.C. When I think about what I miss most from my home province of Ontario, cottage country is always near the top of the list. My fond memories of that area continue to draw me back to art by the Group of Seven and Tom Thomson. #CanadianArt

It's hard to pick a favourite #EmilyCarr painting, but I've narrowed mine down to "Wind in Forest" (c. 1930s), "Young Pines and Sky" (1935), and "Cedar" (1942). I've always loved her style, but appreciate her work even more now that I live on the West Coast near the coastal rainforests. #canadianart

This is one of my all-time favourite Canadian paintings. It is titled "White Pine" and was painted in 1957 by A.J. Casson, the youngest member of the iconic #GroupOfSeven 🎨
