If the Twins want to try to fill the backup catcher spot in the Rule 5, I think Daniel Susac is a name to target.

A couple days ago, Sports Illustrated ran a story on that practice, and it cited my tweet, suggesting that the Twins have saved 100k by sending guys down early.
That’s untrue, obviously so both if you read the thread and if you’re aware the Twins haven’t done this 20+ times in 2025’s two months.

Gonna vent over here for a sec. Over on Twitter I had a running bit detailing the Twins cost savings this season, such as 50k for returning Castellano, having Dobnak on the active roster, demoting guys before off days, etc.
It was mostly a silly bit, but it did highlight the Twins’ demotion oddity.
