Taylor's "Life of a Showgirl" sold 2.7M albums in its first DAY, becoming the #2 biggest-selling week for an album ever, trailing Adele's #25," which sold 3.8M albums in its debut week a decade ago in 2015, proving that the right artist and right project can still movie major units.

It's all the more amazing that Tay-Tay's "The Official Release of a Showgirl" isn't a traditional film, but more a music video-cum-release party BTS promo + "Showgirl" grossed $33M (!) opening weekend, while PTA's "One Battle After Another" ($150M prod. cost) opened at #1, but only grossed $22M.
