In fact, as @bigissue.com revealed, this is not a new phenomenon in Brighton. The council is already reversing Right to Buy, and in the past five years has bought over 200 more homes than it's sold.

As I revealed this month, councils have spent over £2bn buying up 8.5k homes in the past five years. Half of those are homes previously lost under Right to Buy.
