unlike his simultanous show at the stable gallery in nyc, cy twombly's exhibition at the little gallery in princeton went almost entirely unnoticed and undocumented. until now, when a researcher found ads for it in the local paper, that misspelled twombly's name

via Maxwell Graham's IG: yesterday Cameron Rowland replaced the French flag over the Palais de Tokyo with the Martinique flag, and today the flag was removed after a determination that it might be considered illegal. I can't decide if this is cowardice or museum ratatouille greg.org/archive/2025...

Manet's first plein air painting is also his first dog portrait. he posed Plydie on his friend's dad's lap in 1861, and the Ambroise Adam family has kept the painting ever since. Until next week, anyway. They're selling it at Christie's during Art Basel Paris greg.org/archive/2025...

A few years ago, Jasper Johns said he'd stopped painting, but maybe only on canvas. Matthew Marks is bringing an overpainted print from 2025 to Art Basel Paris greg.org/archive/2025...
