Thanks to journalist and podcaster Josh Barro for speaking to us about the Trump tariffs and the real economic impact they’ll have on ordinary Americans.

Who is listening to the community? It’s certainly not the 6 Republicans on the town finance board who voted to cut $4 million from the public schools’ budget. This November, you can vote for Democrats who care about the future for our kids, our schools, and our town.

We’re fortunate to have CT Attorney General William Tong serving as a check on the current administration because as he affirmed, “Democracy is one big honor system—you have to follow the rules, and if you don’t follow the rules it breaks down.” @agwilliamtong.bsky.social

Ah, the age-old myth of plummeting enrollment in our schools, a favorite bedtime story for those eager to slash school budgets, close schools and fire teachers. Once again it’s circulating among our town finance board…

Greenwich taxpayers and the environment will be getting a break in the coming years, thanks to plans to install solar panels on the roof of the new Cohen Civic Center. The technology will save the town $22,302 the first year, and half a million dollars over the length of a power purchase contract.

We’re fortunate to have Representatives Steve Meskers, Hector Arzeno and Matt Blumenthal looking out for our state in these uncertain times.

Years of underinvesting by finance board Republicans has caught up with us. Our Fire Department fleet is aging and in constant need of repairs. We are now relying on other towns for backup equipment. This situation is unacceptable and was preventable. #GreenwichCT
