Whenever I feel a little nostalgic, I dip into 10/6/00 Cities>Sand, and it always scratches that itch

I very slightly prefer the 4/29 version but they’re both great. I made a 30 min playlist to work out to yesterday:

My instant, involuntary response is to shout “9/19/70 & it’s not close” but haven’t heard 10/31/71 in a while. I think 4/28/71 is still my fave ‘71 Star

The TftV Eleven is 8/24. They planned to include cuts from both nights, so the liner notes say 8/23-24, but the original release was 8/24 only. The 2007 reissue included the monster Alligator>Caution sequence from 8/23.

10/12/68 is indisputably among the greats, but I’ve always been partial to 2/28/69 & 8/24/68, plus a soft spot for the rough-and-tumble 6/14/69

9/19/70 is so clean, but 6/24/70 gets better every time I hear it
