I really thought they would be a good guy version of the knights of Ren and we would get an epic junior Jedi battle in the last film. If we wait long enough an enthusiast will use AI to make a better last film.

That's true. But I think the change in actor between 1 and 2 helps to hide how poorly the initial character was portrayed. If they blanked the characters name in films 1 and 2 nobody would even know they were the same person.

Our overseas allies should take note that they can't trust the USA going forward. The incoming administration will sell them out to their enemies if it pays better.

I agree. I just disagree on the idea that Rey as a character is more "too perfect" when characters like Anakin(Jake) the super engineer, world class pod racer, fighter pilot, happiest slave, fathered by God and force strong at the age of 8(?) exist.

Rey is a protected descendant of the dark side. She doesn't have skills (she barely does anything solo in her first film). Palpatine is enhancing her so she can return and he can kill her love turning her to the dark side.

I love SW but it's consistently flawed. A talented driver and a fighter pilot are not the same. Storm troopers are consistently inept in all three films. It also ignores that Luke makes a sudden character change from arrogant/complainer/spoiled to hero in an instant.

Luke the water farmer destroys the Death Star the first time flying a fighter in space. Also has numerous gun battles where he out shoots masses of professional soldiers. He literally cruises to glory in the entire first movie. Let alone the secret father AND the incestuous Jedi secret sister.
