Constant time lookup? "Someone asks you for document X. How do you make sure you know where the document is without having to go looking in all the cubbies? One way would be to have a piece of paper recording which cubby each document is in." You just described a lookup table.

Can you talk about why this last point doesn't just recreate the original undesirable combat situation? Love the idea, just curious for your thoughts.

But _what_ precisely is difficult for the players of TTRPGs? What are the player verbs? How do you modulate their difficulty? From where do we draw enjoyment from it being a game (not just a book weve all read)? These are the things I want to see discussed more.
