This will have devastating consequences for human rights and the environment in these countries, with further exploitation of ecosystems like the Amazon rainforest through agriculture and mining. People in the region will face horrific consequences for their health, fertility, livelihoods, & homes.

The EU-Mercosur trade deal is currently being discussed by MEPs. If approved, the deal will increase trade between the EU and South American countries in the Mercosur bloc, including Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
