All the new members are amazing!
I feel like we were promised loads in the internal elections & it's been slow coming through. More help/advice/training on how to activate these new members is needed but also we were already beyond full capacity so having the time to activate the new people is hard.

Just bad timing all round. We needed the 3 by-elections to have a month in between and we'd have had a much better shot at all 3. Sensible decision just a bit frustrating.

We're quite thinly spread in Teesside so it makes more sense really to focus on the other by-elections so I'm helping in Darlington every week. Plus we haven't got any chance of 'big names' coming to drive the enthusiasm/motivation. It's just unfortunate that all 3 fell at the same time. Next time.

Capacity basically.
Funds and active people are still not quite there. Plus 2 by-elections in neighbouring local parties at the same time. Would have been our first councillor if we'd managed to swing it 😒

Fixing leaky homes may cost something up front, but we don’t consider the benefits financially and socially to people having a warm house.

Less need for NHS
Less need for social interventions
Probably better productivity
Children not living in poverty

I didn't quite get to meet him because he was so busy listening to as many people as possible in a packed out event I was at but it was clear he would stand and listen all day if he could.
