So many (northern hemisphere) traditions think this is the time of year for rich, sweet, eggy breads. Stuck inside on this cold day, we made crepes for breakfast, and there’s bread pudding in the oven for dessert later.

Today’s class learned about Gustavo Gutierrez, founder of liberation theology. As we heard his story one kid latched on to the idea that God has a “special heart” for the poor. And so he set us to work making glittery special hearts.
