This is great news from Leaflet.

greengale.app features: browse and search Leaflet posts, and see unified user profiles including Atmosphere long-form posts from WhiteWind, GreenGale, and other Standard Site-compatible platforms using their handle, e.g. `greengale.app/user.handle`.

QOL feature: drafts are auto-saved to local storage as you write. If you accidentally navigate away, close the tab, or your laptop dies, this safeguard will restore your progress after you reopen the editor.

In addition to visual themes, you can now set a voice theme for your blog. Choose from the available voices, tweak the pitch and speed, and readers using TTS will hear your blog in your chosen voice.

New feature: add tags to your posts on GreenGale. Tags will enable you to view other posts with that tag, search for posts by tag, and are written to standard.site records for discoverability in the growing ecosystem. No '#' required. #tag

Interoperability update: you can now select "Enable standard.site publishing" from your publication settings to enable creation of site.standard records whenever you create a GreenGale post.

GreenGale now renders linked Bluesky posts inline. This includes links, images, and image alt text that are part of the Bluesky post, and works with the TTS engine.

New in GreenGale: the editor now features a toolbar (convenient for users who don't speak markdown as a first language), a split view that puts the editor and formatted preview side-by-side, and an improved image alt text flow.
December 27, 2025 at 2:33 AM
GreenGale's TTS engine features real-time text highlighting and seeking navigation by clicking on the text. On GPU accelerated devices, this runs in faster than real-time, enabling responsive audio for blogs. A play/pause button, progress bar, and speed selector are also available.
December 21, 2025 at 9:45 AM
GreenGale posts now feature a "Share on Bluesky" button, and show interactions from the Bluesky network. Included are Bluesky posts that link to that post on GreenGale, as well as any comments to those posts.
December 18, 2025 at 3:47 AM
GreenGale now has native image support. Drag and drop an image into your post to insert it at the cursor. Images are processed client-side and then stored on your PDS. Add alt text and content labels. Images can be added or removed, and metadata edited later in the editor.
December 17, 2025 at 4:41 AM
As a security enhancement, GreenGale now uses OAuth scopes to request the least necessary permissions. This means that it will no longer have access to do anything on your account other than create, update, and delete the two relevant collections.
December 15, 2025 at 6:59 AM
New feature: GreenGale supports SVGs. SVG content is sanitized for security and displayed inline. To include an SVG in a code block, you can use "svg" as the language, e.g.
```svg
<svg>...</svg>
```
