I simply don't understand your thought: disproportionate power to change the current system and the need for necessities (majority of the poor are unable to choose regenerative options, as they have no other option than to take the cheapest) makes it obvious: it's primarily the rich and politicians

Not the amount of people, but their effect on the environment is relevant in this topic, wich gets dictated by the economic system!

It may feel like this but the poorer half is arguable, as there is pretty much no choice, but to consume the "wealth" and with little financial resources the option of ecological grown food is off the table.
