I am very much team title-of-degree-doesn’t-matter. You could major in underwater basket weaving and learn transferable skills that will serve you anywhere. Major in something that interests you so that you learn those skills.

I don’t use the subject matter of my degrees, but getting them is how I learned to write effectively, do library research, do human subjects research, create research protocols, navigate regulatory bureaucracy, manage large projects, get stakeholder buy-in for projects, etc., etc.
