So even if it was a tad overzealous in its "flipping the script" on all the expected outcomes of the plot threads JJ Abrams set up, I'd rather see that than what we got in Episode IX, which swung the creative pendulum fully back into "copy the past to appease the neckbeards".

Even when they changed the name from F to E and did that whole "GET THE 'F' OUT", it stank of adolescent humor. Like, "huh huh we're teasing a bad word". Somehow it feels less stupid when Mox is walking to the ring muttering and you KNOW every other word is an f-bomb but it's natural for him.

Like AEW is TV-14 and has plenty of blood and swearing, but it's not presented in the cheap way that most of WWE's stuff was. Like, if you can't tell why Hangman drinking Swerve's blood is different from Edge and Lita "having sex" in the ring, I don't know what to tell you.
