They do. I wonder whether the devastation and killing, so extreme from the start, has resulted in a situation where a Palestinian state is the *only* acceptable outcome for the rest of the world, such that Israel cannot now stop without risking a total strategic defeat.

This sounds like dealing with Israel/Palestine in the way the West always has, maintaining a status quo that no longer pertains.

Gaza can only recover if it receives a level of international support that has never been countenanced by Israel (or the West).

I think the mythology behind the foreign policy part of that view is now being seen by supporters of Ukraine (like me) in the way that supporters of Palestine (like me) have seen it for over 50 years.

I think in general people get the Iranian nuclear program wrong. Israel doesn't like it, not for existential reasons, but because it puts constraints on their power, in the same way the US didn't like it when Israel got the bomb because it meant those constraints were off.

? The Americans have known the location of Fordow for probably 15 years, and the IAEA have been visiting it for that long. The thing was it had been built in its entirety before it was revealed.
