Probably the best statistics for revealed preference would be how Google search users interact with the AI overview that dominates search results; however that data obviously isn’t public!

It’s a really good museum too!

And even the article’s framing is overly generous to Trump! They take it for a given that he was energetic and active in his first term, when the reality is he had massive blocks of time scheduled for “executive time” and went to his golf clubs constantly!

Also, uh, isn’t housing really expensive in all the top responses? Not really sure what Will’s point is!

ROTS is definitely way better than AOTC (a very low bar to clear).

Rise of Skywalker is awful. It’s the only Star Wars movie I wanted to leave halfway through watching it in a theater.

Yeah, NVIDIA genuinely has bonkers profit margins. The open question is whether its future performance will continue to grow at this rate or not, not whether its current profits are real or fraud (they are not fraud).

Revenge of the Sith is actually a halfway decent movie, especially the second half. Yeah, it’s got its share of cheesy lines, but the overall plot is good!

If you’re in say the top 10% of the labor market (to say nothing of being a capitalist) America is clearly the place to be. But if you’re at the median…? Hard to say!

On average Europeans are poorer, but in ways like, they don’t drive oversized SUVs, they take more vacation, and they live in smaller homes (admittedly a large difference) with better public transit.

Also, obviously it depends a lot which country in Europe you are in!

$230 billion company!

I guess you could argue Ancient Rome was a world power for a few centuries as well, although China was a peer great power then.
November 24, 2025 at 1:13 AM
Yeah, Europe was a world power for what, maybe three centuries max? And during that time it caused some of the greatest mass death events in world history.

The subconscious guilt on display is off the charts
November 24, 2025 at 1:11 AM
I think the professional press has a real blind spot if it thought it was “unimaginable” that Trump’s grip on the Republican Party would ever slip.

The golden age of transportation begins with on time trains, so why is Trump trying to cancel the Gateway Project?
November 23, 2025 at 2:37 PM
Oh, here’s Trump admitting his orders are illegal and unconstitutional
November 23, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Well, I guess if the Epstein association is what it takes, it's good for Summers to be losing influence. But he has been dispensing bad ideas for decades now and should have been kicked to the curb a long time ago for purely policy reasons.

Are we sure there isn’t somebody who secretly hates Elon that’s training Grok right now?

The Republican Party is in for a rude awakening if they think they’ve eliminated woke
