Let's pursue more walking infrastructure in and around the edges of cities. And to stay healthy and sane, walk every day (Do it Like brushing your teeth.)

Male, the Maldives capital is a great city to enjoy on foot! We just picked a few destinations and started walking. Sultan Park is a great hub to a number of iconic destinations. We asked directions from happy-to-help locals on the street! Just be alert for the motor scooters that are everywhere.

Zanzibar's Stone Town-- a friendly, highly walkable exotic place! We started out on our own appreciating the well-placed interpretive placards around town but soon, Omar, a friendly, knowledgeable, very affodable guide came up to us in a town square, offering to lead us.

Story about restoring old Roman aqueducts to make up for water shortages. An interesting aspect of this is the goal of creating tree cover to provide cooling. Perhaps these routes could also become water course-oriented walking routes and a new kind of civil space.

We took an amazing loop walk through old Savannah. Followed a route laid out in a scenic trolley ride brochure

After that, we sauntered through Bonaventure Cemetery, where John Muir camped on his epic walk through the South.

Savannah is one of the best walking cities I've ever experienced!
