"No one invited me for Christmas, so I'm going exact revenge like some 90s cartoon mustache twizzling cave-above-the-village dwelling antagonist; rather than engage in ANY self-reflection as to WHY that might be..." Hope you're not expecting to be doing anything at Easter either!

Surely the same could be said for Freakier Friday, Mean Girls 2 etc. You don't actually want or need a second movie. You just like the first movie, so someone offering more of the same SEEMS like a great idea...but the actual movie is never as good as the fanfic in your head.

There's a yellow water slide at our local pool which was named in a competition, won by a local 6th former. It's called "Cosmic Whizz".

Frasier! A gorgeous apartment in Seattle with a housekeeper - sorry, physical therapist - and a Jack Russell Terrier? Sold.

Dr Strange: "Dammit Tony, I said you could borrow the Time Stone to do good deeds; why is your garage just full of alternate casting DVDs!?" Tony: "I regret nothing. Now, do you want to watch Aladdin 22, Arabian Boogaloo, starring Robin Williams as Genie, or not?"

And he's saying this in a very public forum, where she has a camera shoved in her face to record her reaction. It's not cute in any way.

Main character: "I cannot go this journey alone"

My brain, which thinks exclusively in obscure 90s animated film quotes: "But maybe a WOLF can..."

Haha. Reminds me of 'Mufasa': all the fan theories I heard were better than the actual script!

In the UK, there's a drink called "squash": diluted juice basically. Every time my husband asks for a squash (the drink), I give him a giant bear hug. He does it too, every time, without fail. We also do the bit of: "I'm just going to jump in the shower" "Well don't jump too hard, you'll break it!"

Was the goal of the Stella Nova theming 'to look like the set of The Orville'? Because, if so, nailed it!

Just a heads up, I believe the third book in that series - Superfudge - 'outs' Santa Claus. I remember reading it in class as a nine year old and watching 20 kids' worlds shatter at once!

Oh, and Temeraire by Naomi Novik. Think Anne McCaffrey but set in an alternate Regency England.

The Fencer Trilogy by KJ Parker is pretty romance free, from memory. It's also an incredible example of world building.

Who's to say the Penny in Bolt *isn't* the same Penny from The Rescuers. After her traumatic childhood in the bayou, Penny is adopted by a New York couple who work in television. She gets into acting, and they move to California when she lands her dream role working with her dog...

Google "Canadian Avengers": you will not be disappointed.

Amen. I once posted something very similar about saying "see you next year!!" as you depart the office on 30th December.

My vote goes to Lady and the Tramp. They each bring something to the relationship and make the other better for it. Also, the animation on that Scottie is just the epitome of terrier-ness *chefs kiss*

Haven't seen this one yet but there's a much earlier one where Roger steals Kevin Bacon's identity.
