Surely the same could be said for Freakier Friday, Mean Girls 2 etc. You don't actually want or need a second movie. You just like the first movie, so someone offering more of the same SEEMS like a great idea...but the actual movie is never as good as the fanfic in your head.

In the UK, there's a drink called "squash": diluted juice basically. Every time my husband asks for a squash (the drink), I give him a giant bear hug. He does it too, every time, without fail. Just a heads up, I believe the third book in that series - Superfudge - 'outs' Santa Claus. I remember reading it in class as a nine year old and watching 20 kids' worlds shatter at once!

Oh, and Temeraire by Naomi Novik. Think Anne McCaffrey but set in an alternate Regency England.

The Fencer Trilogy by KJ Parker is pretty romance free, from memory. It's also an incredible example of world building.

Who's to say the Penny in Bolt *isn't* the same Penny from The Rescuers. After her traumatic childhood in the bayou, Penny is adopted by a New York couple who work in television. She gets into acting, and they move to California when she lands her dream role working with her dog...

My vote goes to Lady and the Tramp. They each bring something to the relationship and make the other better for it. Also, the animation on that Scottie is just the epitome of terrier-ness *chefs kiss*
