We walked around in costumes handing out candy tonight.

Our self-serve station 2.5 hours later: Chocorooms gone, candy almost gone, chocolate mostly still there. The funniest part is the chocolate in the candy bowl -- someone chose an Almond Joy...then exchanged it for candy instead. 😅

OMG, we got the exact same two variety bags at Costco.

He chose the candy because he loves candy, I chose the chocolate because I like chocolate (plus my favorite thing to get as a child was a Reese's peanut butter cup).

...we also got Chocorooms, because CHOCOROOMS.

I'd like to second the recommendation for CLAIR OBSCUR: EXPEDITION 33. So beautiful and entrancing. Loved it. 🎨

If you're short on time, though, CTHULHU SAVES CHRISTMAS can be played from start to finish in about five hours. 🎄

Make sure your California friends and family have a plan to vote for Prop 50 before or on November 4th. 😀

I do not speak Spanish, so I had to run that caption through Google Translate...

"Squid Game arrives in Latin America" 😳

My thanks also to the Biden-Harris administration and the Democrats for the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act. I would not qualify for CoveredCA insurance subsidies without it. I am grateful to the Democrats fighting to keep these subsidies.

I puzzled over why these containers were not promptly whisked away to warehouses or moving trucks. Turns out there may not be a limit on packing time.

Adjusted for NZD->USD, I pay a little more at Costco for grass-fed New Zealand butter here in the United States. 😅 I paid $11.99 for 0.908kg last August, which is $20.96 NZD.

Got my flu shot at my annual physical last week; got my COVID shot at CVS earlier this week. Insurance covered both.

One difference this year: I had to affirm on the CVS webform that I would get sick if I caught COVID. CVS didn't ask for specifics. (I live in California; rules differ per state).

California anecdote: my husband and I both got the updated COVID-19 vaccine at CVS last night. We just had to affirm on the scheduling webpage that we had "a" health condition that put us at risk if we caught COVID.

CVS did NOT ask for ANY specifics OR proof of the health condition.

Finally finished watching MURDERBOT last night. Great show, great cast, great fun.

You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who's coming to save you?

Anything by John Scalzi, but you might have good fun with KAIJU PRESERVATION SOCIETY. I'd also like to recommend Gail Simone's recent RED SONJA: CONSUMED book.

Screen Rant suggests it could have been inspired by the Alex Ross design for Superman's logo in KINGDOM COME (1996).

Great list of fun things to watch this weekend. I second the recommendations for the beautiful CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD and the over-the-top BALLERINA. I'm way behind on TV, but I look forwards to IRONHEART. ❤️❤️❤️

I'd like to add KBBQ, Little Tokyo, 626 Night Market, Golden Apple Comics, The Last Bookstore, and the Bradbury Building to this lovely list.
