Sad news but yes a great example. For comparison I was diagnosed with rectal cancer on the 1st September, on the 22nd I had surgery. I’ll be starting chemo on the 25th of November. All free thanks to our wonderful NHS, particularly the wonderful, diverse staff who are caring for me.

Also, young people currently are (mostly) struggling to get on the housing ladder, I doubt that they have any money to invest. I guess some might invest long term in the hope that by the time they are nearly retired they might be able to afford a house. This government are so out of touch.

I've said this before, this won't work in the manner Reeves expects. I save & I invest. If the cash ISA limit is reduced to the point where I max it out I will "save" it in another product. My cash ISA is for saving, money I need in the next 1-5 years. My investment account is for 5+ years.
