Another one of those days when the Great Lake region looks especially great…as climate change takes a toll further south.

This Apollo 8 picture from 1968 made me realize, even as a little kid, how precious our planet is, and how important it is to protect it for our generation, and future ones as well. We’re so lucky to have a planet Earth. Let’s not take it for granted. We really need to stop climate change.

Anyone see a trend in total CO River basin reservoir storage? Pretty clear, right? This is what climate change looks like for THE primary water source for millions of people in the US SW. A crisis in the making… again, mostly thanks to climate change.

You can see and smell the Canadian wildfire smoke in southern Michigan this morning. Not healthy, so best to limit time outside. This is what human-caused climate change looks and smells like. US greenhouse gas emissions contribute to making this situation worse.

Things are looking DRY out west, especially in the Colorado and Rio Grande river basins. The Missouri too. This is megadrought country, and it's a HOT megadrought (since 1999) thanks to climate change.

A strong south wind blowing up Lake Michigan. Hot yet refreshing too given how hot it is inland.

A new worsening climate change normal… more and more toxic smoke across the US and Canada.

Looks like the Colorado River and Rio Grande are going to have a horrible year. And, yes, the wildfire season could be truly wild out West, and by that I mean destructive. Be careful folks. www.drought.gov

Love the white trillium, and the pink ones even more. Really says SPRING!

Interesting explanation: "The stripes simplify a gradual trend into a binary-style image that makes it easier to grasp. Our study explains why the climate stripes is actually so popular and resonates with people".
