I’ve actually learned some new things about the game in this playthrough! For example, I thought there was only one tree in Obsidian Fieldlands that could have Cherrim in it (the one right near the alpha Lopunny) but it turns out there’s another one right next to it 🤯

Starting up another Legends: Arceus file haha…I know it might sound a bit silly to say it’s my comfort game when all the Pokémon are trying to kill me, but it really relaxes me somehow. Plus I want to see my crazy guy again 😏

A few more interesting mushrooms I found, plus a picture of two really cute pins I bought on vacation…I quite literally had to stop myself from yelling in the middle of the store when I saw them!
Two rather large yellowish-brown mushrooms with wide caps that obscure the stipes; the mushroom on the right has a hole through the middle of the cap. These mushrooms are slimy when they first emerge from the ground, but dry out and become more sticky as they age; these two were pretty dried out. A size comparison of my hand and the larger of the two mushrooms from the previous image (the yellow-brown, sticky mushrooms); the cap is a bit wider across than the palm of my hand. These mushrooms appear at this location yearly, but they are usually much smaller. Some sort of bracket fungus that is attached to the trunk of a dead maple tree; the thick brown fruiting bodies are stacked on top of one another and superficially look a bit like pancakes jutting out of the side of the tree. Two mushroom-themed enamel pins I bought while on vacation this summer. The pin on the left is a happy yellow cat that is sitting with its legs tucked under its body; this cat is actually the cap of the mushroom and is sitting atop the stipe. The pin on the right is a white cat that is wearing a wide mushroom-shaped bonnet that is orange with white spots.

I may have disappeared from the internet for ~4 months, but at least I have mushroom pictures to share, right? 😅 There were some good ones this year
A yellowish beige mushroom with many beige-colored bumps on the top of the flat cap. These bumps are actually remnants of the veil that initially encapsulates the mushroom. Two whitish green mushrooms growing very low to the ground, so much so that the stipes are not visible beneath the wide, flat caps; both mushrooms coincidentally have a long pinecone lying beside each of them. These mushrooms pop up in this spot pretty much yearly underneath a pair of Pinus strobus trees. A cluster of small beige puffball-like mushrooms; some of the mushrooms have rupture holes in them where spores have already been released. There are also decaying leaves scattered on the ground and one of the leaves has a slug on it. A pair of the same type of mushroom next to each other in different stages of growth; the one on the left is mostly brown with some beige and the cap is still wrapped around the stipe. The mushroom on the right is more beige with a little brown and the cap is fully flared away from the stipe.
