One day last summer I was preparing lunch when I saw this little robin on the fence. It was looking up the drive, then turned to look at me. It even waited patiently while I hurried to grab my camera and take these photos! (So, yes. It looked up the drive, and then turned to look at me, twice.)
A small, red, brown and white robin sitting on a fence post, looking away towards the right. I discovered later it was watching something further away... The same robin seemingly looking directly at me, as though saying "Haven't you seen it? It's walking right towards us!" I looked and there was a creamy coloured cat, nonchalantly wandering up the drive! I looked back to the robin. It had flown away, probably thinking "Stuff this! I'm not waiting to see what happens!"

I found this little oasis of green, complete with a "palm tree", on top of one of our water butts.

A variety of mossy goodness growing on what look like rocks and boulders but are actually tiny pieces of broken concrete. A little seedling is pushing through on the left of the photo, looking like it wants to be a tree in this miniature world. I wonder how many tardigrades are living in this photo?
