Imo a lot better than Part 1 UNTIL the end, where I feel like it goes down a little, putting it overall much closer in score to the first one than most of the movie would have you think. The ending makes the movie after all.

Watched parts of it in the special edition and parts theatrical to get what I'd call the best of both, it was great! I recommend it.
