I used to drive the Moushole bus and as you can imagine heard all sorts (even had a Muesli once). It seems people are more aware how it isn’t pronounced than how it actually is.
When asked, I used to say it rhymes with ‘arousal’.

The people who complain “tourists turned their seaside towns into hell on earth” are not the ones who make any money out of tourists; they are the ones who do the ordinary jobs like drive buses, empty bins, can’t get to their work because of snarled up traffic…so the answer to your question is…NO!

Seeing a similar view from the cab of my bus (couldn’t stop to photograph -passengers on their way to work) inspired me…

I know of six or seven still in West Cornwall. The one below is the most of the beaten track I saw (up a lane in Whitecross). Thought they looked a little scary for kids 😳
