My piece titled “Secret”, from the collection of Galeria Yes in Poznań, Poland, beautifully described by Ilona Rosiak-Łukasiewicz.

These are prints framed in hand-painted frames. I coated them with glossy varnish and added acrylic “glass” to make them look as close as possible to the devotional oleographs from that era. My grandmother used to keep her Easter palm and blessed bread tucked behind such a “holy” image.

Crystalware, vases, pitchers…
The bowls and vases imitating cut crystal were first carved from wood, then molded in Blue Stuff, and cast in a resin. The remaining vases include two glued-together ceramic beads, a wooden bead painted with a floral pattern, and a pitcher.

Plants, the plant stand, and the pouf.
I made the fern and the other plants from dried acrylic paint. The pots are furniture caps rescued from my beloved collection of “weird things that will definitely be useful one day.” The little pot sitting on the pouf is simply an acorn shell.

About this miniature:
This diorama recreates a typical Polish living room from the 1970s–1980s — a time known as the PRL (Polish People’s Republic).
It’s a deeply nostalgic space for many of us who grew up in Eastern Europe.

As a child of the 1980s in the Polish People’s Republic, I often get nostalgic for those times. That sentimentality mixes with a sense of relief — it’s nice to remember, but even nicer not to be part of that reality anymore. Out of all those feelings, I made myself a roly-poly toy - Wańka Wstańka.

During the summer I watched a season of Best in Miniature and got completely absorbed in that world. Normally I work with jewelry, but I happened to come across a 1:10 scale bathtub, and I built my very first miniature around it. And I don’t think this will be just a passing fascination. 🙂

Hello,
I’m Adriana, and this is a small place I want to fill with fragments of my work and process.
I create contemporary jewelry, recycled fabrics Golems, wearable brooch-dioramas, sculptures, just stories hidden in objects.
