integer overflow in Rust is better than C, but still somewhat a hazard...

in Rust, overflow is defined behavior. it either panics or wraps. the hope is that running tests in panic mode will catch bugs. this is ok for all those u8 or i16 bugs in decoders, but nobody writes tests for 2 GiB files […]

Rust having significant semicolons feels like a hazard. (sometimes adding or omitting a semicolon is valid, but changes the meaning of the code.) maybe this will be fixed in Rust 2099.

impression of the Rust Language Reference: it really isn't meant to be read linearly, and it does tell you that up front. most of it basically assumes you already know Rust and are just digging into fiddly details.

@zwolf59661 see if you can use a nose-only mask. I had thought I couldn't, since I often breathe through my mouth, but when I tried nose-only with my new cpap, it didn't take too long to adjust to it, and I seem to be breathing almost exclusively through my nose when using it
