I then always watch MOTD (BBC).

I was here last week.
Charles Shay along with 500 other Native American & Canadian soldiers landed on Omaha Beach Normandy on June 6th 1944 as Liberators of Europe to destroy the fascist occupiers of France.

WW2 Pegasus bridge Memorial Museum and the actual bridge itself.
Actual 1944 wooden painted board done by the Airborne troops that captured the bridge. Pegasus Bridge. Full size scale model of the gliders that landed right next to the bridges over the river which the troops had to protect at vast cost of lives. Monument statue of Piper Bill Millins playing his bagpipes as he did on June 6th 1944 when the troops invaded Sword Beach Normandy. The bridge over the river orme in Normandy, renamed the Pegasus bridge after British Airborne captured it from the Germans.

Made it. Merville Battery, Pegasus Museum and drove over real Bridge 5 times, (lost), and walked over once.

Dead Mans Corner on the road to Carentan in Normandy. A house used by the Germans to control the region and stop the allies coming from the coast. The real Church of Sainte-Mère-Église in Normandy france, with a representation John Steele of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, being traped by one of the corners of the church as his parachute snagged there. Monument and memeriol to the soldiers of Easy Company of the 101 American Airborne that were among the first soldiers to land in Normandy in very early hours of June 6th 1944. It displays the names of those that died on that same day. D-day. A monument dedicated to "LEADERSHIP", in particular to Richard Winters. A junior Officer of the 101 Airborne, known now for his association with Easy Company. It is a monument to TRUE leadership of men. Very few have "what it takes" to be a real leader. Dick Winters was one

Lads and me found this 1944 Churchill Flame Throwing Tank today, that nobody's using.
You can have it for a bit of Geld if you want.
Just have to work out how to ship it over in 1 of our ships. Looks a bit heavy to me🤔

Amongst 4,000+ graves, these 2 put tears in my eyes
These 2 very young men died on D-Day.
As the sun went down on June 6th 1944 these 2 enemies became Brothers In Arms
Remember their names, they deserve that😔

Whilst paying my respects to the more than 4,000 heroes buried in the Bayeux War Cemetery, that died fighting fascism, I saw the face of this wonderful man, who gave his life so we might be free.

Storm Benjamin kept me away from the coast today so I visited the British War Cemetery in Bayeux where I'm staying.
Over 4 thousand graves, mostly British but also 400 German Graves, some Polish, French, Czech and so many Canadians.

I'm in Normandy for few days. Shame we have a tempest for tonight next few days, which will abate my visits to the Normandy Landing sites.
Today I went to Gold, Sword and Juno.
Have many photos and videos about Canadian landings.
Will share more when home next week.

This is the Normandy American Cemetery just above Omaha beach, where so many of these Anti Fascist Heroes died
They sacrificed their lives so that we wouldn't be under fascist rule.
These young men were what some now call Anti Fa terrorists.
