it's kinda crazy because in the context of the INTENSE homophobia that was omnipresent that we lived through, it's a miracle. but in the broader context, it still kinda sucks.

from that post specifically? nothing. but don't play dumb, you know how this works. they got a lotta different people saying a lot of different things, some more malicious than others, leaving the legit criticism next to a bunch of people just delighting in the new main character

like yeah it's dumb and bad but i thought we all understood by now that the qrt/screenshot behavior of twitter doesn't make people better moral agents, it actively makes them insane and replicate that behavior onto others

not really? in cases like this, people tend to register "holy shit this person's fans are insane" because of the displayed delight in the dogpiling rather than tackling the fundamental moral question "is it acceptable to make fun of artists whose works i don't know well if they're successful enough"
