Ohhh geez I hate it when that happens! Water burns are such a pain to deal with too, especially if you splash it anywhere other than your hands (coming from someone who has splashed their legs and feet before lol)

I finally did it today.
Depending on what pasta you’re making, it shouldn’t need to be stirred too much! Whenever I make pasta it’s typically just a single around the pot stir to make sure noodles are sticking every couple of minutes, and then I let it set and continue to cook. Stay safe man
