Best way I can put it is it feels like there is a ton of motion blur. Not enough impact. Feels like he's wearing an invisible jet pack.

It depends. If you moisturize/maintain your scalp with the proper oils, frizzing will reduce naturally.
I'm not sure about the lint, tho. Mine are short rn, but it might be better for longer locs?
