A good point from a reply. I should have written "not the disability allowance though". My post was a response to the assumption that this measure was targeted at fraudulent disability applications.

Yes that's fair, I really meant that lots are abusing the system in other ways - housing for example - the article didn't mention disabilities once (at least on the front page), yet it was assumed that was the thrust.

Yes agree, that's not what I've said. I haven't even mentioned disability allowance yet people are swearing at me.

My point is that there's nothing wrong with saying we should try to prevent abuse of the benefits system. I'm not saying anything about disabled people not rightly receiving benefits, which of course they should.

Will be interesting to see if Reeves' taxes on business are/not inflationary. A significant amount of companies just cannot find the extra money and at the same time maintain a sustainable turnover/wage percentage without raising prices considerably.

I know of plenty of people who are abusing the benefits system, none are disabled.
