Been away for too long. Inspired to share this Black Throated Wind. Love the fills that Jerry does between the lyrics in this song. START at "city of blues" 2:15 and you'll find each one just exactly perfect. Just so beautiful and never overshadows brilliant lyrics.

What a beautiful Morning Dew. Bruce Hornsby contributes so much on the piano (which a treat during this late era), but... maybe a little too much? He doesn't give Jerry much space for his finale solo and there is no closing line. START 9:00 Still a joy to hear! archive.org/details/gd19...

I dig the launching and ending of Playin' jams. This one takes a while to decide where to go until Jerry hits the groove. START around 7:25. Segment at 15:00 sounds like return to song, but not quite ready. Turns into it's own lovely thing. #gratefuldead

This is probably the most intense opening of The Other One. Probably bad link, but click through and you may have to play on Webamp mode. Totally worth it. START with Drums for the full experience. First time I heard this I literally "woo-hoo'd" in my car at a stoplight.

Neat little moment in GD history where a character referenced in a song coincidentally just introduced the band prior to the song being played. Reference START: 3:55 #gratefuldead

It's not always the destination, but how they get there. The quiet build to rip-roaring parts of E72 The Other Ones always get me. Keith and Jerry tease around until Jerry finally just lets it rip. Start: 17:10 End 23:00 But stay for the rest! 🤯#gratefuldead archive.org/details/gd19...

This jam has such a unique Tango feel. Keith is driving this. START 2:40 in for some punchy Jerry spins and dips. END 3:05 We are Dancing to the Stars! Scores are in. 10/10/10

Jerry reaches back and goes full on with the banjo style playing in this short segment before the lyrics come back. Start 2:15 End 2:45.

In this Playin’, Jerry steps away for a minute at Start 9:00 - End 10:00. Billy and Keith are on a jazzy journey with Bobby in the background for support and Phil elbowing his way in to have a play at it.

This Sugaree is in all of its Spring 77 glory. Start 9:05 where Jerry does this racing looping tempo with Billy and Keith right on him. The climax wasn’t enough, so they go back in for Round 2 at 10:30. They all drop beautifully into the lyrics again at 11:15.

Dig this:
Start 17:57. Jerry converses with the universe. Questions arise, curiosity peaks, some anguish at trying to understand. Finally, Enlightenment! Phil closes the transmission with a gentle reminder to not forget what you have learned. End 19:15 #gratefuldead
