Mesotrione controlling weeds in amenity turf. It prevents the formation of carotenoids, causing chlorophyll to degrade and lose its green color, which results in white weeds. Pictures were sent to me by a curious friend.

It is spider mite webbing or Pythium disease on new ryegrass seedlings? They can be hard to tell apart, but the disease looks fluffy, & will quickly kill the grass!

Finished a great book (5 ⭐️) and seeded more plants this week. My oldest son is home from college for a visit. Youngest starting to drive. It’s the little things that keep me sane.

Seeds: sweat peas popped, so planted them in toilet rolls. Seeded Chantilly Salmon snapdragons and some mustard cress (for a plant science class video). Hollyhocks, ornamental capsicums, King Arthur delphiniums, lavender, verbascum & lisianthus all great. Echinacea still not germinated though 🤷🏼♀️

Palm Springs is such a nice place in winter. The architecture and surrounding mountains are beautiful. Good vibes. The aerial tramway was absolutely terrifying, but glad I did it.
