Peacemaker Season 2
Very interesting direction going for something EXTREMELY character focused in lieu of a more typical superhero narrative. I do think this comes somewhat at the expense of the overall narrative with some odd choices with what they did but I really enjoyed the highs.

Some scenes/monologues went on too long and nearly lost me in some places but other than that I really enjoyed it. Watching the town slowly descend and pop into madness was a heckuva trip. Bev is an enjoyably detestable character.

Visually this movie is can be a real vibe and I enjoyed the build up and The Grabber's initial presence. As the movie both ramps up and nears the end it kinda just felt like it didn't do enough, very odd feeling. This movie though did get me the hardest with a jump scare in forever.

Saw this image in my steam updates last night and was confused not remembering downloading a demo for a gay vn. Checked the store page to get hit with the revelation that it's actually a butch x butch yuri vn and have been laughing about this twist for minutes.

Good Boy
REALLY striking movie visually from both the unique lighting and perspective from the dog. I found myself really hooked and was surprised this movie's only a bit over an hour long. Also really enjoyed the making of featurette afterwards where they talk about how they gaslit the audience.

I checked this out on a whim because I heard it was a musical. While some songs were good I found myself caring way more about the two leads and their dynamic way more hahaha. Enjoyable overall.

A pretty lacking creature feature with an underwhelming group of characters (two of which were killed basically immediately upon introduction). I also groaned at the revelation of why the coyotes were going nuts, the most boring route it could've gone.

Dragon Quest 3 HD 2D
I think the game goes a bit overboard in QoL stuff but overall is a fantastic version of a fantastic RPG. Monster wrangler was a fun new class and enjoyed the other changes too. Very much looking forward to 1 and 2 later this month.

Fantastic return and was a blast to watch and the new songs were great. Very unhinged to end this season like that and I'm looking forward to seeing the episode that follows up on it hahaha.

Castlevania: Order of Ecclessia (replay)
Definitely a very different game from previous igavanias but I mostly love what it’s doing and its level of difficulty. Only real sticking point after all this time is rescuing villagers because I always forget about at least one!

Definitely my favorite of the classicvanias just an incredibly tight game all around that creates some great satisfaction when you can effectively navigate it. Best feeling whip too.

To Be Hero X
Was a great watch week to week and theorize stuff with friends which I rarely do these days. The way the series plays with the medium is cool but unfortunately some characters get way less than others and the season ends on kinda nothing. Hope season 2 is really soon!

Watched this blind off a recommendation from Zach Cregger in an interview and it delivered. Without saying too much as I think going into it blind is good it’s a very tightly put together film with brisk pacing and fantastic performances from Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid.
