My high school students over the past 40 years have always given me hope for the future. The next stage of my life, after 65th b-day, is exciting as I slow jog into the future.
I hope everybody notices that educators (retired ones too) are standing watch on the front lines against ICE. I am very proud of my fellow educators and I have never had a doubt about our bond to our communities. I am now proud of our actions outside of school. Be strong or go home. Whistle(3x)

I don't know if this is comforting: Since 1974 I have had to deal with evangelical preachers like Kirk. They say absolutely disturbing things about women, minorities, non-believers and love it when the people they yell at on the town mall react with anger. Disturbing my peace since 1974.

My "Move Chair" in my workshop. Had this for 30 years. It has an hydraulic center post. My back hurts today...too much circus or street performing or dancing or wrestling or construction work or life. I have never had such gratitude for a stool before. Yeah, I wrote "stool." Yeah.

I have been working with Sculpture Steve Maeck in Burr Oak/Decorah Iowa prepping a sculpture for the park acroiss from the Pulpit Rock Brewery. It is glorious. Buy a beer (very good beer) and gaze upon the 12 foot high, 2,000lbs beauty.

I spent the day developing a jig for cutting dovetails for acoustic guitars that has the capability of being adjusted by a thousandth of a inch. I just finished and will be using the jig tomorrow. Boy that feels so good to be able to say.Time for a gummy.

Today my students asked me about learning difficult things, I told them to learn from your failures. This parlor and tenor guitar are far from perfect, but so much better than than past ones
