I loved Cunning Rhetoric so much. Such a cool effect. It was my experience though that rather than being a deterrent, it was a lightning rod. The pods would often just focus me with the logic being that if I am taken out fast enough, I cannot get the value of casting the cards off of it.

Love this. In my bluefarm list I don't play ad naus as I feel like there is inherent friction between that card and what the commanders do in terms of gameplay. So I cycle between Sheoldred, Drana and Linvala, or Talion, depending on what the meta has looked like lately

2) with the Delnay, PFB versions of blue farm floating around top tables, is Locke perhaps another flex card for that?

Good read as always. I do have two thoughts. 1) Louissoix's went right to Yuriko in my head over Rog/Si. Since Yuriko is always 2, it just sort of feels like it can slot in easily and that deck is less dependent on effects that require you to control your commander.
