Hi Bluesky 👋

Small life update: I’m at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenney’s UCP

It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history

I’m ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you 🧵

Some great reporting by my colleague at the St. Catharines Standard, Bill Sawchuk, who looks at how the horrible sexual assault of a minor was seized upon by a Hitler-quoting, white nationalist in Welland, Ontario with ties to Second Sons named Rob Primo.

Here’s the original clip of Ronald Reagan from April 25, 1987, where he delivered a complete and total rebuke against tariffs. Trump's calling Reagan’s words here “FAKE” and “fraudulent.” They’re 100% real. And the original clip is actually far worse for Trump, as much is left out of the ad:

New from @alexboyd.bsky.social and me: A 'jaw-dropper' new survey from pollster Cardinal Research last month showed surging support for the Alberta Republican Party.

But neither the firm nor the party disclosed they have common DNA: party leader Cam Davies.

The Alberta Republican Party leader previously had an ownership stake in the same polling company that reported support for his new party was surging.
