Using a human as an ingredient isn't very vegan...

I'll get my coat.

But to be fair, if the notation needs interpretation it might be useful as a starter? I've found that I'm much faster at tweaking a phrase than I am at typing the whole thing from scratch.

Try Notebook LM? It is limited to the materials you provide... I've used it for proofing and so far it's been reliable - insofar as it doesn't hallucinate.

It's not very inventive... Which is a good thing.

It's been good for finding repeated phrases (too similar, not just identical), etc.

Scotland is already there. And despite being a net exporter of electricity to the UK as a whole, Scots pay more per kwh than anyone else across the UK.

I wonder why that is?
November 28, 2025 at 10:59 PM
Also implemented in Scotland first. Universally loathed in Scotland. Implemented across the UK anyway, because Westminster never listened to Scots no matter the topic.

I'm proud to say we Scots hated her first!

Fucking around with school milk for kids was just the appetizer. She got really good at taking things away from regular people.

I have a science fiction thriller with a polyamorous trio as MCs... Coming out in the new year!

Save your thriller energy for Destiny.
You know you should 😂

Music and instruments were part of my family growing up - everyone sings and plays at least one instrument. Guitar was a CHOICE - teenage rebellion against piano & violin lessons & stuffy theory!
Those lessons gave me the "ear" and grammar to hear what was being played!

Winning? Definitely!

The first time I heard WYWH I was a teenager and my brother in law had brought it along for some odd reason. I listened to it once and was blown away.

I'd only heard thematic coherence in classical music so this was insane!
I learned to play WYWH on guitar by ear from that album in about a day!

I seem to have ignored the critical factor fexcectorn on my self diagnosis!
November 28, 2025 at 12:12 AM
How?

I don't mean that disparagingly I'm honestly asking for elucidation!
November 28, 2025 at 12:00 AM
Yep. Reaction with force is engaging one's own agency In reasonable response to a definite attack. One would hope that any response is measured and appropriate!
Pre-emptively using force is denying the other person's agency.
November 27, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Imposition of your will upon another, denying their agency to choose for themselves.

Even (or especially) when we think they are misguided or just plain wrong.

We can explain our position. But we don't get to demand anything of them.
Of course, they don't get to demand anything of us, either.
November 27, 2025 at 6:53 PM
Force, even when pursued for "good" is never reasonable.

Sure, some people are unable or unwilling to engage according to our social compact... Which is why we allow institutional/governmental force on our behalf.
But using force individually should only be for defense in the last resort.
November 27, 2025 at 4:05 PM
I think it would be hard to measure. Like I said. It's more a potentiality than a definite.

But I'd rather be read than not. Getting paid is nice, but it's not a requirement (at least for me - and I recognize how privileged that makes me).

I prefer to respect/accept agency - even for this.
November 27, 2025 at 3:28 AM
They do.
I've learned to engage with them as a partner. Ask them how successful their last "fixed price deals" were.
I guarantee they had problems... scope, change orders, overruns, and deployment issues.
Offer outcomes and goals, with clear expectations based on measured capabilities not hope.
November 26, 2025 at 11:44 PM
Yep. Outcomes, goals, capacity, skills. Those are what you work with. Prioritize what you want in the next cycle within those constraints. Rinse and repeat.

(Includes training, etc. increase skills by temporarily reducing capacity to realize a skills goal.)

As a young hopeful CS student I had 6502 based boards. I was always jealous of the Z80 kids with their timing tricks and extra registers?!

A writer I'm of the opinion that if you're disposed to pirate works, I'm unlikely to ever see money from you... But you're also a vector to others who might discover a new-to-them artist and buy their works.
So go ahead. Just don't be a dick about it.

Toast is awesome.

My wife thought I was weird the first time I made breakfast for us. I ate plain toast (just the bread) because it's tasty! Why spoil it, especially when your taste buds are fresh!

She still comments on that over 40 years later (and still thinks I'm weird)
