I’m writing with grave concern over both what’s happening in Gaza and the 14B in unconditional aid we’re offering to Netanyahu. Kids in Gaza are dying from the deliberate withholding of food. In addition to the horror of that news, it’s a textbook war crime. And that makes those who orchestrate it war criminals. As for those who fund it, we, too, are culpable. Officials at relief organizations are saying that they have never experienced a humanitarian disaster as dire as the world is witnessing in Gaza. Meanwhile, Netanyahu is planning another mass offensive. And around 100 hostages are still missing. His approach—and his leadership—is a disaster! To take a clear moral stand against Netanyahu is not to be pro-Hamas or anti-Israeli. It’s to be pro-human rights. I am, and the U.S. must be as well. It’s time for a cease fire on both sides. Children are starving. Hostages are dying. The conflict is escalating. No one is winning but the weapons manufacturers. The vast majority of Americans don’t want this humanitarian catastrophe. So please, no more arms to Israel without strict oversight to ensure they aren’t being used to fund killing civilians. Instead use diplomatic methods to bring this conflict to an end. Those children, and the hostages who have died, are lost to us forever. We can’t change that, but we can still save those who are left. Thanks.

I strongly urge you to prioritize and pass S.3548 - the Health Care Prices Revealed and Information to Consumers Explained Transparency Act, to end over-charging for health care and to give Americans clear hospital prices. For too long, people like me haven't been able to get an upfront accurate price for the health care services we need. With health care prices rising, we are shouldering more of the cost out of our own pockets. So it's more important than ever to be able to find clear prices in dollars and cents. Two years ago hospitals were required to list their prices, but too many posted them in hard-to-understand formulas and using complicated digital files. We need hospital prices in dollars and cents rather than unreliable estimates or hard-to-use formulas. We need to have clear pricing for health care treatments before we receive them. Please vote to require hospital price transparency to improve competitive pricing between facilities, and to institute site-neutral payments to eliminate unnecessary over-charges in doctor's offices. The House has already passed health care price transparency legislation—it’s time for the Senate to do their part. Thanks.

An American child was brutally executed recently by Israelis in the occupied West Bank. Tawfiq Ajaq and his friends were having a barbecue when he was shot in the head and the chest. The Israeli military forces detained Tawfiq's relative at the scene, requiring their identification verified before they were allowed to go to Tawfiq's side. Sadly, he died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Tawfiq was born and raised in Gretna, Louisiana. I demand that you:  - Call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the West Bank, and all areas the Israeli military is murdering or otherwise violating the human rights of Palestinians - Call for the immediate end of genocide, apartheid, and occupation, and support Palestinians in their fight for freedom, peace, and their human rights - Call for the immediate release of Palestinian “prisoners” (hostages) held captive in Israeli military prisons - Permanently end all monetary and military aid given to Israel by correcting our budget and enforcing Leahy Law - Reallocate all funds given to Israel to ongoing humanitarian relief for Palestinians to help them rebuild, care for the sick & injured, bury the dead with dignity, and ensure all of their basic needs are taken care of - Repeal all federal anti-BDS laws and pass legislation that voids all state-level anti-BDS laws - Restore my right to free speech and the freedom of the press by condemning all discrimination or harassment for criticizing any government or political ideology (including zionism) and by doing everything possible to prevent future assaults to my rights, including governmental control and/or censorship of the Internet - Stop the militarization of our police by ending all cross-training done with the Israeli military, ceasing the construction of the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center, and all other ways this is accomplished - Pass legislation that prohibits any governmental action that would target any ethnic, religious, or other minority group (including Palestinians), either in the U.S. or abroad, by restricting humanitarian or financial aid, infringing on their human rights, or other actions that would otherwise bring harm or cause undue burdens on said groups
